Statement
Christian Eder´s practice is based on reduction as a method of expansion. It investigates how minimal shifts
within defined systems can generate complex visual fields. Line, surface and spatial tension become
parameters within open structures rather than elements of fixed compositions.
Within carefully constructed visual systems, perception is modulated through order, repetition and
controlled variation. Across paintings and objects, structure becomes am means of generatung spatial
configurations rather than fixed images.
The works are not conceived as isolated images but as parts of evolving structures. Paintings and objects
operate as serial systems. Each work forms part of a larger process in which order, deviation and repetition
define a continuous visual development.
The aim is not representation, but the articulation of perception through structure.
