SEQUENTIAL LINES

Sequential Lines 

Systematic painting based on order, serial structures, and rule-based processes. The works are organized as an open field of tension between color and non-color. Linearity and repetition interact, constituting multilayered, parallel-symmetrical pictorial structures that at times collide, interlock, or condense, challenging the viewer’s eye. Dense, parallel color lines generate an intense optical movement in which structure and perception continuously overlap.

Constructive, often modular systems - typically realized in lightweight or ribbed framework construction-define spatial situations and open up new installative and architectural perspective on the perception of space.  Also included here are works that break with existing logics or deliberately shift perception toward them. They have an experimental character and follow their own internal principles of process, transformation, or interruption.

OBJECT CONFIGURATIONS: Constructively built objects made of wood, plywood, canvas on wooden supports, and modular geometric segments. The works explore the possibilities between surface and space, between panel painting and objecthood. Through shifting, rotating, and combining individual elements, transitional objects emerge that, through their structure and painterly interventions, make this in-between realm visible.

Works in which the image is organized as an open filed of tension. Order, condensation,

and dissolution remain in an unstabe equilibrium, generating perceptual spaces beyon

fixed systemic logic.  

ARTWORKS

Concrete painting, object and spatial interventions between line, structure and perception. 
Developed over extended periods of time in parallel series, the works repeatedly return
to fundamental visual structures that are continuously reorganised and transformed through
processes of variation, reduction and displacement.
